As a Realtor I not only enjoy helping people make their new home dreams come true; I also have the privilege of acting as an Ambassador for our Community. Often times my first contact with a Client is through email. People tend to do a lot of research on line before they actually look at Real Estate.
After a bit of discussion they usually ask; what’s it really like to live in Castlegar?
I’ve watched our City change over the past 32 years and I’ve witnessed an amazing evolution. I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in many of the ideas and changes as well. The downtown revitalization gave a whole new life to the North end of town. Watching the new buildings rise in the downtown core has created an impressive transformation. The sleek and stylish Police Station, City Hall with it’s compelling architecture is magnificent in both design and function; the front piazza is a perfect place to enjoy your lunch or just take in the mountain views. The stately Columbia Basin Trust Building has anchored the others; and given substance and unity to the downtown hub. Columbia Avenue, our main street, is now graced with mature trees and a multitude of flower beds and hanging baskets; and of course it’s always lit up with decorations in keeping with the season.
